THE SEARCH FOR

NON-CONFORMIST

SOLUTIONS...

Emiel Dierck was born in Belgium. Until the age of 19, he lived and studied in Brussels.

At a young age, he became a student at the Gemeentelijke Academie voor Beeldende Kunst (GABK) in Liedekerke. In the late nineties, he started out as a graffiti artist.   Paintings, drawings and sculptures have always been a part of his life.  His father is a designer/painter and his elder sister became a photographer.  The urge to express himself artistically and to strive for this dates from this period.  He received a degree in interior design from the Academie in Ghent( Belgium) before studying contemporary art.

Even today, studying plays an important role in his life.  He worked for major international architecture en design offices.  Afterwards, the young man started his own business.

In his works, you will notice a strong dynamic and
the search for non-conformist solutions. His designs are built to provoke reaction.
